Open Call 2026
Over heia –
Landeskogen pREopening
Kunstprenteverket is moving from Rogaland to Landeskogen in Setesdal –
and we invite artists from Rogaland and Agder to participate in the exhibition
Over heia / Over the Moors – Landeskogen pREopening
June 1. – August 31., 2026
For centuries, Setesdal and Rogaland were connected through travel and trade across the moors. Livestock, goods, and stories crossed the mountains, creating strong ties between the regions. In the 20th century, this connection took on a new dimension when Landeskogen became a tuberculosis sanatorium for Agder and Rogaland, later a psychiatric hospital under Nærlandsheimen in Jæren. Now the doors are opening once again – this time for art and culture.
The exhibition Over heia / Over the Moors – Landeskogen pREopening is open to all techniques within the visual arts – including painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, video, and cross-media projects.
We welcome works that address themes such as:
-
Movement, travel, and trade routes
-
Landscape and nature
-
History, heritage, and belonging
-
Connections between regions and generations
