Residency Programme

The Landeskogen Residency Programme offers artists, researchers, writers, curators and other cultural practitioners dedicated time and space for artistic development, independent practice and professional exchange.

The programme brings together accommodation, cultural facilities, and Kunstprenteverket – Landeskogen’s professional printmaking workshop within a focused creative environment.

While printmaking is a central part of Landeskogen’s identity, the residency programme welcomes practitioners from a broad range of artistic and cultural disciplines. Residents may use the residency period for research, development, production or independent artistic work.

Residency Formats

Research & Study Residency

For artists, writers, curators, researchers and other cultural practitioners seeking dedicated time for reflection, development and focused work.

The residency supports artistic exploration, writing, research, archival work and project development within Landeskogen’s cultural environment.

Studio access is not included, but may be arranged separately where relevant and subject to availability.

Printmaking Residency

For artists developing independent projects using Kunstprenteverket, Landeskogen’s professional printmaking workshop.

The residency supports focused work with traditional and contemporary printmaking processes. Studio access is booked separately according to project requirements, equipment needs and workshop capacity.

Residents receive priority for workshop access and preferential studio rates.

Production Residency

For artists undertaking technically demanding projects requiring advanced planning, specialist facilities or production support.

Projects may include advanced printmaking, edition development or collaboration with Kunstprenteverket.

Studio access, technical assistance and production services are arranged separately according to project scope, capacity and prior agreement.

Studio Access & Technical Support

Kunstprenteverket provides professional facilities for printmaking and related artistic production.

Studio access is arranged separately from the residency and planned according to each project’s technical requirements, experience level and available workshop capacity.

Residents of the Landeskogen Residency Programme receive priority access to workshop facilities and preferential studio rates compared with external users.

Studio access may include the use of specific techniques, equipment, presses or workspaces depending on the project.

Technical assistance, specialist equipment, production support and collaborative printing are available by prior agreement and subject to staff capacity.

Artists using Kunstprenteverket for the first time must complete a workshop introduction before independent studio use. Returning users may require a shorter re-orientation depending on experience and time since their previous visit.

Fees & Practical Information

Residency fees cover accommodation and participation in the residency programme.

Studio access, technical assistance and production services are arranged separately according to project requirements.

Residents receive priority access to Kunstprenteverket and preferential studio rates compared with external users. External workshop access is offered subject to available capacity.

Production services, edition printing, technical assistance and printer collaboration are assessed individually and quoted according to the scope of each project.
